This humidifier began sparking and smoking babies in our bedroom after only 9 months of use. We were very lucky to have been in the room when this happened. We have contacted the manufacturer and retailer (both have agreed to allow us to return it).

I live in AZ ... extremely dry in winter, dry in summer (when the air conditioner has all the moisture from the air). I 've finally found a humidifier that works! Easily keeps our large room up to 50% moisture, even with the door open. And the first configuration is sooooo quiet. Not sleeping problems. I refill on all other days. If you agonized over the choice of a humidifier again as I did, buy this unit. I saved you a lot of time!
