I bought this unit after giving up on the frozen Crummy-bowl type of maker (see my other reviews). I looked around quite a bit and settled on the Hamilton Beach Because of the reviews and the super-cheap price. I can 't believe what some of the hand-cranked machines go for! As a kid, we had the kind with the wooden tubs, so I knew how much they leaked. Anyway, this unit has been everything I 'd Hoped for. Yes, it is lightly built and could be damaged easily. I 'm pretty easy on equipment, so that shouldn ' t be a problem. It works like it should. At least I knew what to expect from my previous machine. You still should chill your ingredients and shouldn 't expect the ice cream to be firm until it ' s been stored in the freezer overnight. I like the large capacity so that I can add a lot of good chunky stuff (Heath bars, Oreos, almonds, etc.). Couldn 't do that with the little 1-quart unit. The motor has a good fan on it and doesn 't overheat EVER! I didn 't really think it was all that loud. I use it in the kitchen sink for convenience and the noise wasn 't any louder than the dishwasher. Great machine for the money.

The first two times I made ice cream, turned out to be great. When I tried the third time, the engine wouldn 't run.

The article has a great capacity, and so do the job very good, the only problem is the engine noise, but you can leave it somewhere you can 't bother.

've Been looking ice cream and settled on this after reading a lot of reviews. I was looking at those more expensive, but since I didn 't know how much I ' d actually use it, and since the recipes are so delicious fatteningly, I thought I should 't be eating too often anyway. :) I got the mail yesterday from Amazon. I made the pastry cream recipe that came with the unit. I followed all the air, and allowed that I cooked the mixture to cool overnight in the refrigerator. Today I did it. 25 minutes, about 8 pounds of ice and 2 c. coarse salt ... and we have had from this world, homemade cream frozen. The machine shut down and the consistency of soft serve ice cream is mostly, but the material toward the bottom was already becoming more firm. The directions clearly state, "that to get the sound of ice cream, it needs to go into a freezer, or pack with ice and let set 2 hours in the sink. So, just make sure to understand, that when it is " made "Mobility, is soft serve state .... very thick soft serve, and oh so delicious, I am so glad I didn 't spend over $ 100 for a brand of White Mountain. This little man makes 4 Qts. of ice without problems! Just follow the instructions!

I love my machine to make ice cream. It was so easy. My first attempt was Butter Pecan Ice Cream and it was wonderful. Everybody loved him. Certainly recommend this ice cream maker. RThanks for a wonderful product.

Only gave 4 stars because you really make a gallon each time. For the full gallon me doesn 't go fast enough to keep the ice cool. Rit works very well and easy to clean. I think this is the best 4 quarts for the money and I researched all.

Manufacture of ice cream is so much fun on this machine. It's a bit strong, so I just plug in the laundry room and let him go to work! Makes it so delicious that ice cream is hard to stop eating. I thought that rock salt would be difficult to find any problems. We just keep trying new recipes and they all come out great. Great value for the price! I absolutely love it!

I ordered two manufacturers in perfect condition. I gave my sister and Still Haven 't use it I was. I feel comfortable in saying that when I make my dessert with the machine that will perform to perfection.

This is a great machine. r rMaterials. Light weight and nothing to rust, a big plus! Some of the reviews here didn 't think that the materials were durable enough. They are. Clearly, it 's not professional restaurant grade, and it ' s not going to Enduit being kicked around in your garage. On the other hand, though, if you 're just looking for a nice machine that the whole family (including kids) can handle, it ' s perfect. R rDesign. Really simple and easy to use. Also, no fasteners to come loose and cause problems. R rice cream. Included all the recipes will produce rich, creamy, and delicious ice cream. Some reviews stated that the consistency was too soft. If you like ice cream brands, just leave the Canister and jump in the ice for a while longer, as per the instructions. We tried some as soon as the engine stopped, and it was exactly like we used to eat as kids. The rest we left in the ice / salt for about an hour and then ate some more. After that day it was firm all the way through. Do not lump or ice crystals. R rNoise. The engine is definitely quieter than the machine we had as kids. Not sure why some of the reviews thought it was too loud. Obviously, in Metal Canister spinning around in ice and salt is going to make some noise. We ran it in the bathtub (for drainage) just across the hall from the room we were in. There was only one closed door in between. We could barely hear it. Bucket is good and stable, unlike other brands that I've tried. Motor seems quite adequate and has made very thick, turbulent really ice cream. The only problem I have is getting the motor to lock Is in the bucket. Once it 's on, though, it works great.

I have this ice cream maker and I love it. I bought a second as a gift.

We are satisfied with the unit. We used only a couple of times, but it does what we hoped it would do: make ice cream. Is not as strong as what we had for many years. It is made of very thin plastic and metal, but then you get what you pay for, and it does make the ice cream. Not really sure how long it will last.

This new ice cream maker is wonderful - much easier and faster than the ones we used when I was a kid growing up. And after a thorough search and price comparison, I found the cost was much less than many other brands and types of ice cream makers. My new husband 's family (who had never had homemade ice cream before) enjoyed my old family recipe for fresh fruit sherbet at a big family celebration for two birthdays in the family soon after I bought it. Needless to say, it was a very big hit! As they said, they never knew what they had been missing!

well ... the views didn 't lie - it ' s LOUD! You may want to put it in a room and shut the door. also, it takes a lot of ice - we really need to get out in the middle of making ice cream to buy more ice. My first try in making ice cream was a bit sandy and I don 't know why. I use real products - all the cream, half-half, etc.. I will try again - perhaps a smaller batch next time. oh btw - we make peach ice cream, but we peaches weren 't sweet that I had to add more sugar than I wanted.

This is a large refrigerator. I did it several times with good results every time. I don 't have to say a bad thing. I'm glad I bought it. R For the money, you can 't go wrong buying it.

Last night, the fifth use of the motor in the machine lost power. He still turns, but not fast enough to make ice cream. The building is also cheap (a box is a little thicker than a sheet of aluminum) - but then again what do you expect for the price.

Ice cream is a bit too runny. RCheap plastic construction seems he is destined to break soon. Rmada in China.

I read the reviews on this one and went ahead and bought it. It is SO awesome and SO easy to do. You gotta get this one. Simple to operate and have had awesome results. 10 out of 10 I say. Comes with a simple instruction booklet and has a pile of recipes in it. All you need in one low price. Almost delivery.Can 't go wrong. I 'm hooked .... yummy!! :-)

After reading many reviews of this product as well as others, I was very confused about what to buy. My main motivation for purchasing this product was because of the volume of ice cream is done. After the ice cream on several occasions, I am very happy with my choice. E 'noisy, but the end result is worth the noise. Ice cream is very clean and consistent producer is easy. The pieces of ice cream makers, therefore, seems to be very sturdy and durable. I certainly recommend this product if you are interested in a lot of ice cream just as good, ready-to-eat cream immediately after it stops.

I 've used some ice cream maker, but this is the best. It 's "lock " design is so simple a cave man can do. Smooth aluminum container which means there are no cliffs for the ice to hold on so as to stop the rotation. Motor is quiet and strong. Many ice cream churned don 't enough to complete the process before the finished ice cream shake, but this one will stop when the ice cream completely full. It makes a full gallon of ice cream is enough for everyone to have a nice bowl full. The Recipe 's that came with a beautiful party. I love this ice cream maker.

Hamilton Beach 68330R 4-Quart Automatic Ice Cream Maker (purchased on 06/14/2009) r RWE used the freezer to make ice cream and it worked very well. Ice bucket is large enough so that the ice doesn 't wedge between the bucket and the ice cream can and the stalling of the engine as another oval-shaped bucket of ice cream freezer made. The engine is powerful enough to keep turning the filter until the ice cream is frozen. The ice cream was very firm, after treatment for two hours. The only negative thing about this ice cream freezer is the container is made of light aluminum that could be easily damaged.

We chose to buy this cream Hamilton Beach ice maker, because we recently bought a $ (inexpensive 30) Hamilton Beach blender on Amazon, we 're satisfied. My husband said this ice cream maker is the best we've ever spent $ 31.99. We made frozen raspberries Custard for our first batch in the ice cream maker. We used the basic recipe for Frozen Custard in the little book of recipes included, but cut in half and added fresh raspberries. The sound is strong, so strong that it 's hard to hear the television. But it took only 30 minutes to complete, so that 's not long at all. The parts of the machine are fairly cheap and freezing containers of plastic for aluminum foil, but we're happy with it for our use. It was very easy to use. Regarding the quantity of ice needed, we used a container filled with ice from our ice maker machine in our freezer. We don 't add any additional ice during the 1 / 2 hours it took to complete. There isn 'is required. The cream is creamy and soft when done. It was better than the frozen cream I grew up with. The churn of ice in the reservoir is sufficient to store in the freezer when the ice is made. You can 't find the money to better than ice cream maker, I ' m sure. It makes a lot, too (4 cts / 1 gallon).

This is an ice cream maker. Large capacity and fast work. This is a bit noisy, but we don 't mind, because we use it outside on the terrace.

This product is fantastic! Research and research, and ice cream and found this beautiful voice. Being so cheap and a 4QT (much larger than the other!) I was a bit 'suspicious ... That's low and it works great! We made 2 games yesterday and tasted GREAT! Surely the purchase!
