I have a competitor 5 1 / 2 qt. oval slow cooker crock pot is not at all. I have to wait to add potatoes or carrots until about 3 hours before the meat is done else they 'd be a total mush - at LOW settings. Sauce will be 1 / 2 was lost when it is boiled away - at LOW. I had to go home during the day to change it to WARM for a few hours, then switch back to LOW one hour before dinner. My bean medley pots so dry I had to add water before serving. One disappointment after another, and I finally came to Amazon and read reviews from different slow cooker. Of course, the competition received many complaints about being too hot. Hamilton Beach Stay or Go slow cooker has a lot of positive reviews, so I decided to try it. Now I can only say, I wish I hadn 't wait so long to replace competition. I liked everything about it. It works perfectly. I also really liked the black ceramic vessels. I hate throwing things that (kind of) work so I'll take the opponent to the local thrift store in it 's original box and write in big letters in black marker: GREAT chef. I thought to eat healthy and cook at home, so this gives me more control of what I eat. I read the reviews and decided on this model because I wanted a large oven can handle a slow roast or whole chicken. I used it almost immediately and did not dissappoint. I must admit that my main irritation with this is that it may Crock is not programmable. Therefore, I should not have bought it. R rin anycase, I suppose it gets the job done. Two things about the design really irritated me. The lid locks get stuck in the holding of the handles can when they are not in use. It 's not a big deal, but the design team should have done a better job to make sure you could easily move the lock out of the way when you are cooking. I pricked my finger trying to squeeze the locks between the handles to get them to lay on the side of the can. R rLastly, the lid does not sit firmly on the Crock. What I mean, is I was never sure if the lid was closed or not. It just sort of sits on the top without any assurances that it is on correctly. R ROH, and one other thing, the directions say be careful because the bottom can scratch up (mess up) the counter tops. They should have made slide resistant bottom. While I was trying to move the lock out of the way, the can was walking too much! R rom the bright side, I guess it does what it is suppose to do. And I got it at Walmart for $ 30. Good price. But ultimately, I want to programmable slow cooker so I will be taking it back.

I have had my share of Slow Cookers over the years but this one has to be the best I have ever come across. My daughter introduced me to it and I was so impressed with it 's size, looks and features I just had to have one. The high grip rubber handles are fabulous and I love the lock-and-go feature for traveling. No more spill in the back of the car! The settings are basic yet everything I need or want in a slow cooker. Spoon I also like that the lid snaps in the area which also helps when traveling. Crockpot I bought this over a year, and a family of 6, we use a lot. I love the fact that the lid has claws for transporting dishes. The meals that I always fantastic, and with its 'large, I save the leftovers the next night. R rThis Crockpot is a high quality and has not stopped me yet. I looked around for decent odds on a pot. Many were not terrible seemed to depend on the particular unit more than anything. I 've used it for several weeks and it works fine. I already had two cookers / Crock Pots. I slow cook * A LOT *. I looked forward to adding this third as mine, because it has a removable crock and had the lock seal for the trip. Ri love the removable crock. RThe device warms up well. RThree "levels " is nice. RBut why did they have to, plastic handles and spoons. It is cheaper that way. The plastic is not plastic * only *, but it 's thin plastic. RThis unit would be so much nicer, with additional attention paid to the construction of robust treatment.

Decided that after reading the reports cookers programmable I get the simpler version. It was delivered quickly. I did it four times, and I'm happy with it. I like the design too.

I go to a lot of potlucks stove and this is the best! The lid locks very well and I have a car (Toyota Matrix) that has an AC inverter in it, so I can turn this car leak-proof on the stove and keep food warm. R RCA I show up at potlucks with hot food in a nice looking Crock Pot and only has one antenna to clean. R ri 'm happy.

I completely removed the lid of my rival 6QT. programmable crock pot and when I contacted Rival on a lid parts I never received a response. Time to get a new crock pot! I did my usual research and found this entry through Amazon. E 'come quickly, without fuss. My old Rival all boiled to mush if I wasn 't careful, no matter the setting. My new Hamilton Beach isn 't like fantasy, but it works great! The High / Low / Warm settings all look appropriately calibrated, and I love the high handles and lid latches.

We have this crock pot quickly after ordering. We are very pleased with this purchase. It is a big crock pot, nice for our large family and / or groups. I like to take the lock function, good for them if we are traveling in an RV, or take it to potluck dinners. I am excited about the "hot " heat setting, because I want to make the soup in the morning, and they are available when family members hungry all afternoon. Overall, a great product.

This stove is much better than others I have. Has a medium high and low temps are actually what they say. Rubber seal big improvement over a simple sheath and helps prevent dripping. It's easy to clean and doesn 't take up much space on the table. Best of all ceramic crock glazed with all that can be washed far deeper than that with unglazed bottom.

After my purching Hamilton Beach has been delivered in a box secured very pleasant. I used the crock pot many times and have even left it on while I went to work. Its very safe and cooks very uniform. So if you use plastic bags new cooking there is really no cleaning. I think now I want to get a stove much smaller for soups and things.

This is a great casserole. Attractive stainless steel. Cooks evenly over the sides and bottom. Perfect cooking at low temperature (6-7 hours slow to about 170 degrees). High setting creates a low simmer on the edges (about 2-3 hours at 190-200 degrees). Keep warm does just that. Nice seal on the lid - the same tongs to travel. (Don 't use clamps to cooking.) I wish it had an auto-shift, but there ' s perfect. Fantastic value. Beware of revenue terrible in the instruction booklet! (Baked Beans recipe is to buy a box of pre-made baked beans and cook for hours - why?) But who cares at this price, you have some money left for a slow cooker cook book. An exceptional product at a great price.
